The Gap Year travel policy is ideal for the traveller or those going abroad to study, aged between 16 and 45 years. You will be automatically covered for many sports and activities, including bungee jumping, scuba diving and white water rafting, as well as voluntary work and farming holidays.

This flexible policy allows you to return home for short periods without invalidating the policy and can be upgraded to include cover for computer equipment (up to £1,000) as well as course fees if you are studying abroad.

The Insurance policy includes the following cover:

  • Medical, Cancellation, Baggage, Money, Baggage Delay, Personal Accident,


  • Personal liability, Legal Protection, Jail Overseas,


    • The Gap Year Insurance that we provide does not include cover for Winter Sports nor Course Fees or Computer Equipment. If you would like to include this cover or if you require cover for less than 12 months, please email or call our office.

    This travel insurance works on the basis that no one on this policy is travelling against medical advice, or to get medical treatment. If anyone has an undiagnosed medical condition before travelling (for example, if waiting for test results, consultations or investigations), this policy won’t cover any related claim for cancellation or medical expenses.

    If you don’t tell us about a medical condition that you or anyone on the policy have, any claim for cancellation or medical expenses relating to that medical condition may not be paid.
