 | Visitor and Business (Short Validity) ETA, Subclass 976 & 977
The Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) is equivalent to a visa but there is no need for a stamp or label in your passport instead it is issued electronically by a computer system. The ETA is intended for a short-term visit to Australia for business or as a Visitor/Tourist. The maximum length of stay is 3 months and the ETA is valid for multiple visits within 12 months from the date of issue or until your passport expires. To be eligible for an ETA, you must hold one of the ETA-eligible passports and you must apply for the ETA while you are outside Australia.
