The electronic Student visa is available for eligible passport holders classified as Assessment Level 1.

  • You can apply if you have received a Letter of Offer and a Confirmation of Enrolment Certificate from your Australian Education Provider.


  • You must have pre-paid part of your tuition fees and have acceptable health insurance through the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for yourself and family members.


  • You must have evidence of financial resources to cover airfare costs to and from Australia, living costs in Australia for yourself and any family members and funds for tuition fees.


  • You can apply for the electronic student visa within Australia or outside Australia.

    Medical Examination

    If you select YES to any of the questions above regarding your medical history or medical conditions or you intend to stay in Australia for more than 6 months, you may be required to undergo a medical examination, and/or a chest x-ray, and/or an HIV blood test, and/or an hepatitis B antigen blood test, and/or a hepatitis C antibody blood test as part of this application. If this is the case, we will let you know the process for undergoing medical examinations and where to attend the medical examinations.
